DETROIT, August 9. Craig Wood’s Ryder Cup team defeated Walter Hagen’s challengers by Si matches to 3i on the Plum Hollow course. Wood's team won six of the eight single matches. Lawson Little, of tho challengers defeated Gene Sarazen 6 and 4 over thirtysix holes.
