DEFENCEC MEASURES IN ITALY

According to a report reaching Zurich from Milan, extensive military preparations are proceeding throughout Italy, specially in the provinces of Lombardy and Venice, where the presence of German troops is conspicuous, indicating that resistance is likely to be organized there.
