The ease of a clothing machinist who wished to leave her work in order tu take up domestic service came before the Auckland Manpower (Industrial) Commitlee. Appellant, said she came from Christchurch ami hail tried constantly to find suitable accommodation. Any that, were available cost more than she conic afford. “It is of m, use having a job if 1 have nowhere to live." she siiid. “If I took domestic service 1 would bo able to live vvbere I worked." The case was adjourned for inquiries to be made about accommodation.
