Six Ontario Ministers Lose Seats (Received August 6. 11 p.m.) TORONTO, August G. Six Cabinet Ministers were defeated in the Ontario provincial elections. Premier Nixon retained his seat, but the Liberal Party suffered a severe setback. The Canadian Press Association has estimated that the new Parliament would consist, of 38 Progressive Conservatives, 34 Co-operative Commonwealth Federation, 14 Liberal Party, two Labour, one Independent, and one doubtful. The Associated Press of America has said that the Liberal Parly was in power not only in Ontario, but in I he National Government, under Mr. Mackenzie King, and it was common talk that Mr. King forced f.he Ontario election Io ascertain the Liberal strength and, if it made a satisfactory showing, he would have called lor u General Election.
