LORD GRANTLEY DEAD

The death has occurred of Lord Grantley. aged 87, known as ‘’Father of the House of Lords,” who was cited as corespondent in au undefended divorce suit, recently. Lord Grantley was the fifth Baron of Markenfeld- His mother was an Italian. His first wife was an American, who died in 1897, and his second wife was the second daughter of the la te Viscount Ranclagh. The Hon. IL IlBrinsley Norton is Lord Grantley s heir. Last month Harry Newman, club leward, was grunted a decree nisi against his wife Pauline, aged 3;>. who, Riving evidence in French, admitted adultery with Lord Grantley, who was named as co-respondent. Newman was awarded £5OO damages.
