YOUTH CENTRE OFFICER RESIGNS

Mr. Allan A. Kirk lias tendered bis resignation to the Wellington Technical College Board of Governors. He was appointed to the staff of the college in May, 1929. and, at the request of the director. Mr. J. \H. Howell, added the educational and vocational guidance of students io his teaching work. In 1937 he was freed from a portion of his teaching to act as vocational guidance officer at the Government. Youth Centre, and organized a team of masters specially interested in placing hoys in positions for which, by aptitude and training. they were qualified. He will shortly transfer to Auckland to take charge of the Youth Centre there. The board of governors accepted his resignation with regret and directed that their appreciation of his fine work should be recorded in the minutes of the board.
