The War Department has disclosed that the army' moved 891,827 men overseas in the first year of the war and at present is shipping an average of 821 b. of supplies and equipment daily for each man. . The War Department also released comparative figures for the same period in World War One of 300,603 men transported overseas, 431 b. for each man shipped daily, and 1,727,000 tons-over shipping lanes, averaging 0500 miles.
