LICENSED SELLER’S INSTRUCTIONS. 1. Every consumer is required to (a) reregister before April 30 with any licensed dealer, (b) enter bis name and address on REVERSE side of top page 3. the sugar coupon page (immediately above coupons 49/52) and present his ration book to his grocer when purchasing April sugar supplies. 2. The grocer must cut out from the ration book (above the top row of coupons) tile completed slip, and enter his name in the proper space ou the inside cover. Alteration of another previous entry there is to be by sticking gummed paper slip over it. 3. The grocer must keep the cut-out ration book slips, sort them into alphabetical order, and from them prepare a completely new register containing the consumers’ names and ration book numbers, and a spare column for the ration book numbers in November. . The consumer’s address added would likely be an advantage. An alphabetical index book or ordinary exercise book suitably prepared would serve. 4. Before May 8 each grocer must declare to his .Rationing Officer his sugar stocks on hand at April 30, 1943, and the number of his registered sugar consumers confirmed by their relative cut-out ration book slips forwarded with the declaration. Rationing officers issue monthly sugar per-, mlts on the basis of such declared number of customers, 5. For supplies in following months •grocers will fill in Form FR3A as at present, and will support new registrations with Form FR3O complete, i.e., both parts A and B. Part A will later be received by the customer’s former grocer, who must then delete the relevant entry from his register and return the form with his next monthly application for suplies. (I. Establishments securing supplies on permit from wholesalers must re-register their permanent residents and complete a new register the same as retailers, 7. Ration , books Issued after April 30, 1943, in respect of newly-born infants, discharged soldiers, etc., are to be registered in same manner. Emergency ration coupons and special permits will be dealt with as in the past.
