WADESTOWN FLOWER SHOW

The Wadestown Harden Society’s autumn show, held in the parish hail recently. was opened by Lady Lake, for whom the Wadestown Girl Guides formed a guard of honour. Principal awards were as follows:—

Mrs. R. Battersby, the Williamson ‘Shield; Mr. A. Sinclair, the Sirett Cup for champion dahlia: Miss J. Broadhead, the David Jones Cup; Miss B. Battersby. the Seddon Cup and Cooper trophies: Mesdanies A. Harris. Broadliead. Burnette, and Messrs. A. Sirett and G. Nash, aggregate trophies. Dr. O. C. Mazengarb exhibited ornamental gourds, and Sir James Grose dahlias and victory potatoes.
