Further Review Of Form (By Overcheck.) Several horses in the Advance and Camp Handicaps at the Wellington Trotting Club's meeting at Trcntham on Saturday have public form to their credit. Bromley Boy has raced on six occasions for one win, a second and a third. At Ashburton in December he ran third over two miles in 4.28 1-5. At Greymouth in January he won the Dobson Handicap at one mile, and was second to Gold Sheik in the New Year Handicap of one mile and a quarter, run in 2.52 4-5. Dianus was a very pronounced favourite for Hie Sharpe Handicap at Treiitham in September, and she won in 2.59. Her subsequent form has been disappointing as she has failed to reach the money in the live races she has contested since. Master Lawn has a win and a second to his credit out of six attempts. At Auckland in August lie ran second over a mile and a quarter, which he improved on In October, when he won the Alexandra Handicap of a mile and a half in 3.3 G 3-5 from 3.43. Brungasta won one race and was second in another at Trenthani in September. Subsequently lie raced at Auckland, where he ran second to Hilda Potts in the October Handicap of one mile and a quarter. The track was dead and the time 2.54 3-5.
Rorqual has had nine outings for one third, registered at Greymouth in October, when ho chased Gold Finder and Special Agent home in the Hurricane Handicap of two miles. Time, 4.43 4-5. Mighty is a live-year-old Great Bingen. He has contested four races this season for one second. This was registered at Auckland in December, when he followed Suffragette home in the Grandstand Handicap, recording 2.48 from, a 3.0 mark. Unhoppled Trotters. Of those engaged in the Kaitoke and Silverstream Handicaps the only ones that have been in the money this season arc Rival Chief, Teddy Gregg, Flying Scott and Twice Worthy. The following is a summary of their form:— Flying Scott is by U. Scott from Escapade, who was one of the best trotters or her period. So far he has contested four
races, In one of which he carried off the major honours. This was in the West-; land Handicap at Greymouth in January,’ when he beat Jimmy Wharton by a head,! with Teddy Gregg .three lengths away in third place. Teddy Gregg is a four-year-old gelding by Quite Sure from 'Sister Rose. He has only faced the starter on three occasions this season for two seconds and a third, which suggests that he is above the average. At Ashburton in December he beat all but Rival Chief in the Mitcham Handicap, recording 3.32 4-5 from a 3.49 mark. He raced at Greymouth last month, finishing third to Flying Scott and Jimmy Wharton in the Westland Handicap, and second to Fire Water in the Summer Handicap. Rival Chief, who was giving away 36 yards, was third in the latter race. The distance was 12} furlongs, which Teddy Gregg ran in 3.47 1-5. Rival Chief, a four-year-old by Great Bingen from Flying Kate, has started'only three times this year for a first and 8 third. At Ashburton in December he beat a useful field of 15 horses, Teddy Gregg being placed second. At Greymouth last month he ran third to Fire Water and Teddy Gregg in the Summer Handicap, to each of whom he was conceding 36 yards. Flying Scott was unplaced in this race. Twice Worthy has raced four times this season. In October he won the Waitemata Handicap at Auckland from Willie AVinkie and Audrey’s Last. The time registered was 3.37 2-5 on a track described as deau. At the Waikato meeting in December he ran third to Win Thru and Get Away, and was similarly placed behind Tall Timber and Wortjiy Belwin at Auckland in January. His best time was 3.31 1-5 from 3.43.
