REMINDER FOR NAZIS

Defeat In Last War LONDON, December 27. The people of occupied Europe have been urged in a broadcast to chalk up the figures 1918, to remind the Gormans of their defeat in the last war. This is intended to replace the V for Victory campaign. Tn a broadcast to occupied Europe, Colonel Britton, loader of the V for Victory campaign, said: “In 1918 the enemy could fight, no mere. He would like to forget this. We painted the V for Victory on the walls in the dark days. In these brighter days the figures 1918 are now appearing on walls in many of the occupied countries. We will not .win the war with a slogan, but we may use the idea to remind ourselves and the enemy of the victory that was won before. Great things will happen In the corning year. You must be ready for them.”
