. Counter To Intrigue
LONDON, September 28. The first statement on the dismissal of one of M. Lllval’s three Secretaries of State, M. Benoist-Mechin, which Took place two days ago, has been made by Laval He declared: “I shall not tolerate any attack on the authority of the Government. I am fully determined to complete my task, and there is no reason why my Government should not stand firm.” 1 '. , ’ It is believed that Mechin has been urging the Germans in Paris to help the Doriot Fascists to seize power.
