AEROPLANE CRASH
Owner Killed When Trying Out New Purchase (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TIMARU, September 27.
Kenneth Walter Cox, aged 27, was killed this afternoon at Fairview, when he took up for the first time a singleseater plane which he purchased in Christchurch a month ago. The machine did not. gain much altitude and was flying down a gully above a creek when it crashed. Mr. Cox, who was a carpenter by trade and not an experienced pilot, was killed instantly.
