EXCHANGE OF INTERNEES
I British Official Wireless.i RUGBY, July 19. It is uow officially stated that negotiations with the Japanese Government for the repatriation of 1800 Allied nationals from Japan. Manchuria, Siam, IndoChina. ami tile Philippines, has been satisfactorily concluded. The exchange of these people for Japanese nationals will take place at Lottrenco Marques, in Portuguese East Africa, on August 27 and September 7. There are about 550 British officials and their staffs, with their families, 200 Allied officials, 810 other British, and 210 other Allied nationals. The party will go to East Africa in two Japanese ships under safe conduct, which will take back the Japanese aud Siamese party. The Indians will be sent separately to India. Japanese diplomats ami business men and their wives, who are being exchanged, embarked at a northern British port during the weekend. The ship, which is conspicuously marked, will be floodlit ou the voyage.
