Training Of Both Sexes Urged LONDON, April 19. A resolution urging the Government to organize the population, irrespective of sex, for resistance against the invader was passed at a rally of units of tlie Women’s Homo Defence movemen t. Dr. Edith Summerskill, M.P.. founder of the movement, said there were still people who thought that the role of women, eveu in wartime, was to sit in the drawing-room and look glamorous, but 90 per cent, of the Home Guard believed men and women should stand shoulder to shoulder in total war.
