Autumn Trots At Hutt Park It was obvious that the squally weather of Saturday morning affected the a tendance at the autumn meeting of the Wellington Trotting Club, held at the Hutt Bark on Saturday. For the most part seasonable attire wa# popular, furs, coats, suits, and small, smart felt -hats being the general choice. Black and navy blues were largely featured. The earlier part of the afternoon was pleasantly sunny, but the. hills of the upper _ valley, which were enshrouded in mist, suggested that conditions were less pleasant elsewhere. Vases of pale pink antirrhinums and oilier seasonal flowers were used in ■ decoration of the tables in the diningroom, while the upper lounge was gay with large bowls of choice dahlias. The oflicial party entertained at lunch by the president, Air. J. IS. August, and Mrs. August, included the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Barry, aud Airs. Barry, Minister of Labour, Air. Webb. Air. and Airs. 11. L. August, Air. and Airs. J. Bentley, Airs. Ray .Smith, Miss Joy August, Mrs. R. A. Armstrong, Airs. S. Hogg, Air. aud Mrs. August, senr., and Airs. Ginn.
