Over Half Million Issued

During the first three days of this week 550,409 ration books, or over one-third of the estimated total, have been issued in New Zealand. Applications numbering 51,509 in the Wellington postal district have been dealt with in the same i>eriod. Ou Wednesday 201,239 books were issued in New Zealand and 35,842 in the Wellington district, including 9120 at the city central issuing point, which had easily its busiest day. Four days have now gone by, and time may be getting short for the remainder of the applications to be received.
