WOMAN FINED
Harboured Soldiers Absent Without Leave (Bv Telegraph—L’ress Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. April Mi. A married woman, Mildred Howard Murphy, was convicted by Mt’. Levvey, S.M., this morning of harbouring soldiers whom she knew to be absent without leave from camp. She was fined 11. on one charge and costs only on a second. Evidence showed when the military searched Mrs. Murphy’s house at Woolston she admitted that two men were hiding in the ceiling above the bathroom.
