AWARDS TO AIRMEN

New Zealanders In R.A.F. (Received April 15, 9 p.m.) LONDON. Apnl 14. Flight Lieutenant Robert Duncan Yule, R.A.F., of New Zealand, has been awarded the D.F.C The citation states: "Flight Lieiite..:int Yule participated in the operations over France in May, 1940, and also in Hie Battle of Britain. He destroyed live and damaged at least four enemy planes. He is a keen and- courageous tighter pilot.” The citation in the recent award of the D.F.C. to Flight bieutenaiit Arthur George Lee Humphreys, Christchurch, states: "Flight Lieutenant Humphreys was captain of one of the planes attacking Lubeck mi March 23. An enemy night lighte" attacked the plane on the return journey, wounding the rear-gunner and forcing it down to 200 feel. Flight Lieutenant Humphreys evaded attackers and returned to his base. He displayed high skill ami courage throughout the comb.it ” Acting-Squadron Leader F. -I Lucas, R.N.Z.A.F., has been awarded a bar to his D.F.C. His courage and perseverance against heavily-defended targets in order to secure photographs of his objectives have been most marked. i’ilot Officer R. W. Uray, of the R.A.F., has been awarded the D.F.C.
