HUNTED BY U-BOATS
War-Battcred Liner LONDON. April 14. The safe arrival at Gibraltar of a large. war-battered British litiei packed with British troops is another triumph for the hard-working ships of the navy. She was hit by a torpedo from a U-boat ami put into a neutral harbour for repairs. U-boats waited outside for the time limit to expite, but British destroyers won the tace, and, with the aid of corvettes, took the ship to Gibraltar.
