| FACTS I ABOUT j furs 1 THE MINK , A bloodthirsty killer possessed of a i .neless nervous energy, the Mink provides one of the most expensive and attractive of skins used in the manufacture of furs. The skins ore mostly secured in North America, but many other species are found in Europe and Asia. The mink spends as much of its life in water as on land. Its natural habitat is near water, and it may loosely be described as being of the weasel family. Its skin, a very deep brown running light on the sides, receives extreme care from the furrier who usually shows a distinct stripe effect. Mink furs wear wonderfully well and although only the very wealthy can afford Mink coats, the general effect is most striking, and the coat itself will outlive several more moderate priced furs. Though you may not be fortunate enough to own a Mink fur, you probably have a fur coat that has given you years of excellent wear. But, have you ever stopped to consider that it may require refashioning or repairing ? Or perhaps dying would put new life into it.
