Comment On Reservist’s Action A technical employee of the Post and Telegraph Department who was appealed for on the ground of public interest 'by the Director of National Service before the No. 4 Armed Forces Appeal Board in Wellington yesterday wrote stating that he wished to withdraw his personal appeal on conscientious grounds. The departmental representative, when the reservist’s letter was produced, stated that the department's practice was to withdraw its appeals for those who lodged conscientious appeals. ’l'lie Crown representative, Mr. C. O. Bell, commented that it was obvious that tliis reservist withdrew his personal appeal because he thought he would be “set” with the director’s appeal. The board stood the matter over for inquiry.
