MONDAY’S WRESTLING
The meeting of Fred Atkins and John Katan has been awaited as the highlight of the present wrestling season and the news that the match is to be staged at Ute. Wellington Town Hall on Monday night has been welcomed by followers of the sport, with the greatest ol' enthusiasm. Atkins has made things move in no uncertain manner ever since he came over from Australia and his wins over Lofty Blomlield set the seal on a series of impressive performances. Wlien Blomlield failed to halt him eyes were cast about for someone capable of doing the job and Katan was singled out as the logical choice. .Memories are still fresh of the line all-round displays which Katan gave last year when lie shared the Empire title honours with Blomlield and .McCready. The Canadian has shown tliat he lias the toughness and aggression of Jack Forsgren together with tlio skill of McUrcndy, on top of which his fitness lias earned him the nickname of “Iron .Man.” Preliminaries will begin ar <8 o'clock.
