FARMER DROWNED WHEN DINGHY SINKS
Dominion Special Service. TAURANGA, November 24. Mr Thomas James Cummins, aged 43 married, fanner, was drowned off the coast at Apata, about 13 miles from Tauranga, yesterday. With a companion, Mr. Cummins set out in it llat-bottomcd dinghy to board a launch lying some distance out from the shore. The boat sprang a leak and tilled with waler. Mr. Cummins, who was unable to swim, was left clinging to the dinghy while his companion went for assistance, but he disappeared
