Miramar’s Narrow Win Baseball games on Saturday were Played in a very tine drizzle, but this did not in any way detract from the standard of plaj anil some close games were seeu. Coming up for their last innings against Ford, yfiramar Aces -were five runs dowu. Determined batting by Miramar and one or two fielding slips by Ford equalled the score at 13 all. Miramar were three down, however, before the winning run was scored, and an extra innings was necessary. Ford were 3 up and 3 down while Miramar scored 1 run. mainly due to clever inse-runniug by Gollop, and some heady play by Marshall. This gave the game to a p n T r, 's endeavoured to repeat their performance of tbe nrevlovs week and they led Broadway Demons up to the end ot the fourth innings. However with two men down and two men on bases. Summers got ou to one and a fine home-run was the result. This gave Demons tbe lead 9-7 and no further runs were scored, both teams’ fieilding being too good for the -batters from then on.
