OWNERS NOT ON

Forest Glen’s Big Dividend

The success of Forest Glen in the Clarkin Haek and Hunters’ Steeplechase at Te Rapa not only caught the public ping, but came as a big surprise to his joint owners, Messrs. T. C. and H. W. Wilson. Mr. T. C. Wilson and his wife had invested 10/- each on the place machine, while Mr. H. IV. Wilson neglected altogether to support his representative. . . . A Maori was a delighted participant in the win dividend of over a century and a half, the largest straight-out price yet recorded at Te Rapa. It was only the fifth public appearance of Forest Glen, and his earlier form had not indicated that he possessed prospects. His trainer, C. J. Carmont, did not favour his chances and he was among the many left lamenting as the sensational dividend was hoisted.
