Opening Meeting Of Season
The New Zealand 440 yards junior champion, IJ.1 J . G. Kissel, was beaten in the junior grade 10+) yawls by K. Boyd at the opening meetiug of the Wellington Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association at Hataitai on Saturday afternoon. There wu<s mist and light rain and a heavy track. Boyd's time was 10 7-10 see. At the recent secondary school championships, it was Kissel who beat Boyd. The intermediate half-mile secondary schools’ champion, B. Duffy, won the 880 yards junior A grade iu 2miu. Osec. C. Dickie, provincial 880 yards and mile champion, won his event. Abbreviations in the following results are:—
