WANGANUI WOOL APPRAISAL
Fewer Bales Forward Dominion Special Service. W’ANGANUI. November 21. The first W’anganui wool appraisal Ly Government valuers began late yesterday and was continued today. A catalogue of 10.190 bales is being appraised, tins being a decrease of 2000 bales compared with the offering at the first appraisal last year. Delayed shearing operations in the Wanganui district, caused J>y broken weather, have resulted in the decrease. Though rather light in condition, the wool has been opening out well and a good average is expected. The Government valuers are beaded bv Mr C. G. Provost, head appraiser for the North Island, others being Messrs. A. Smith and C. Hughes, supervising appraisers, A. Champion, R. Parkin. U. Carlton, A. M. Tartakover, B. Anderson. L. Tuekett and two samplers, Messrs. N. Davidson and IV. McKinnon.
