THEFT OF VEGETABLES
On a charge of stealing vegetables to the value of 2/9, Stanley Charles Tuliford, labourer, aged 49. appeared in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday. He pleaded guilty, saying that he had been under the influence of liquor at the time. . Mr. Stout, S.M., said he did not think a person who. had. “planted” a case full of vegetables and had called back for them later, as accused had done, could have been drunk, and fined him £2.
