MOSCOW POSITION AGAIN BETTER

LONDON, November 16.

The German radio says that General von Neuville has been killed in action in Russia. Von Neuville was one of Herr Hitler’s most intimate collaborators, and he played an important part in Germany’s rearmament and military education.

The Germans officially claim progress against Sebastopol and also in the Tikhvin area. Kuibyshev reports that .‘the Tikhvin onslaught is being held.

The Germans speak of Russian counter-attacks in the Leningrad area after strong preparation by planes, artillery and tanks, and they also admit counter-attacks in ‘Moscow 'sectors. They-say that all were repulsed. -• Moscow radio say« that General Zhukov’s counter-attacks are growing stronger every day. In several sectors, mostly in the north-west, the enemy have been dislodged from their positions. M. Lozovsky described the Moscow situation as again improved.
