Manufacturers To Confer Next Week

This year’s annual conference of, the New Zealand Manufacturers' Federation will be held at Walrukei from Tuesday till Friday of next week. More than 100 delegates will attend the conference, which will be opened by the Minister of Industries and Commerce, Mr. Sullivan. The remits cover a wide range of subjects, but particular consideration will bo given to the relationship of civilians to war production. manpower problems, and the effect of the Government’s price stabilization policy on manufacturing industries whose principal costs such as those of raw materials and'Wages have not also been stabilized. Tlie conference will be presided over by Mr. C- V. Smith, president of the federation.
