Prices ot I'ruit and vegetables in the Wellington markets yesterday are quoted by Market Gardeners, Ltd., as follows: — Gooseberries, lid. to ad. a lb.; tomatoes. 1/8 to 1/10 a lb. Asparagus 7/6 to 12/-, radish 4/- to 10/-, turnips 10/- to 12/-, rhubarb 4/to 12/-, carrots 0/- to 10/-, ail a dozen bunches; French beans, 2/2 a lb.; green peas, 4d. to 4Jd. a lb.; new potatoes, 3Jd. to 4d. a lb. Lettuce 3/0 to 9/-. silver beet 10/- to 18/0. caulillower 10/- to 18/-, cabbage 10/- to 10/0. parsnips b/l) to 14/-, spinach 10/- to 25/-. broad beans 14/9 to 20/-, all a ease; caulillower, 22/- to 32/a wick : onions. 30/- to 40/- a cental. Wellington Poultry Prices Prices of live poultry in the Wellington markets this week are quoted by Townsend and Paul, Ltd., as under:— Spring chickens : Good demand, payable values according to size. White Leghorns: Hens, 3/6 to 4/6 each; cockerels, 1/3 to 1/6 lb.; pullets, best. 6/- to 10/- each . others, 4/- to 6/-. Black Orpingtons: Hens, heavy, 6/- to 10/- each ; medium. 3/- to 6/-; cockerels, heavy, ]/- to 1/4 lb.; medium, 1/-to 1/4. Rhode Island Reds: Cockerels, heavy, 1/to 1/4 lb. Hucks—lndian Runner. l oung, 6/- to 10/- each; old. 3/- to 6/-; while, young. 7/- to 10/-; old, 6/- to 9/-. Geese: 6/- to 8/- each. Turkeys: 1/2 to 1/6 lb.
