ENEMY ENCIRCLED

Final Scene In Abyssinia LONDON, November 12.

A Nairobi communique says that enemy force's in the Gondar area of Abyssinia are encircled. The small remaining bands of Italians are in desperate straits. They are short of food and clothing and are being constantly harassed by British and patriot forces. More and more Europeans and Askaris are deserting from the Italian garrison to join the British forces. The food position in Gondar is deteriorating, and the severity of the discipline is being increased to force the troops to resist. Two European sergeants and several Askaris are said to have been shot for repeated talking.
