HAMMERED AGAIN
Naples And Brindisi (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 12. A communique issued by Royal Air Force headquarters in the Middle East says that Naples and Brindisi were again attacked on Monday night. Cloud obscured the effect of the bombing of Naples, but at Brindisi bombs were seen to fall in the vicinity of the floating dock, the seaplane base, industrial buildings, and near the harbour entrance. Bombs also were dropped at Bianco. Naval aircraft attacked planes at Catania on the same night. The weather was bad and the results were not observed. All the aircraft returned safely. On Monday night also, bombers raided objectives in Libya. Direct hits were obtained on a large German supply depot at Benghazi and fires broke out. Bombs were dropped among the store dumps at the northern landing ground at Gazala. In a daylight attack on Tuesday a South African Air Force Maryland bomber successfully raided workshops and military buildings at Berka aerodrome. A number of vehicles were destroyed and others damaged in an R.A.F. raid on a road.
