CANTERBURY SHOW

Testimony To Dominion’s Productive Ability

CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, November 13.

Canterbury’s third show of the war, which opened today at Addington, provided striking evidence of the ability of the province to supply the things that Britain needs. Stock judged this morning represented the great resources of vital war ueeds in meat, wool, and dairy produce. The war has had an effect on the show this year. Stock entries are lower because farmers did not have the labour to spend on preparing animals for display, but this voluntary culling of entries had the effect of raising the general standard aud making the display, of sheep in particular one of the finest for years.
