Unification Of Vital Importance
CANBERRA, November 11. 'The future disposition of the Australian Imperial Force in the Jliddle East was discussed by the General officer Commanding the force, General Sir Thomas Blarney, with the Advisory War Council. General Blarney said that unification of tlie A.I.F. as far as practicable was of vital importance. It was most essential that the A.I.F. should be maintained as an integral force. Efforts would be made gradually to bring all the Australian forces together. Tlie principle that the A.I.F. should fight together as a unit had been recognized from, the beginning by Hie Imperial authorities, but it had not always been possible to observe it in operations. The whole spirit of the A.I.F. depended upon its unity, General Blarney said. Il is understood Unit General Blarney deeply impressed the Labour Jlinistei's, win? assured him that lie had their complete confidence.
