Detachment From Auckland

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, October 16. Four hundred men from the Auckland area, to form part of the new Army Tank Brigade, left by special train tonight for the Waiouru ,camp, where the armoured fighting vehicle school was established last month. The men marched through Queen Street to tlie railway station headed by a band. Animated scenes were witnessed at tlie railway station, the departure platform being crowded by more than 10Q0 relatives and friends. The Northern Military District will probably be required to supply about 1000 men for the brigtide. Matty are technicians and others have specialized mechanical and engineering knowledge.
