ANNUAL BANQUET

Baptist Harrier Club The Baptist Harrier Club held its annual banquet recently, about 40 members and friends being present. The following toasts were honoured : —“The Church.” proposed by Mr. D. Trudgeon, replied to by the Rev. R. L. Fursdon, president of the Baptist Union; “The Club” (Rev. F. H. Carter—Mr. G. Vol; ler); “Members on Active Service (Major R. A. Hogan) : "Our Hosts and Hostesses” (Mr. M. Dawson —Mr. G. Coombes). Mr. Fursdon presented the following trophies won during the season:—Senior championship cup and bar, G. roller; junior championship cup and oar, D. Ramage; Handicap Cup and bar, M. Dawson; Sealed Handicap Cup and bar. D, Hogan; Yarrcll Banner, Lyall Bay team; attendance bar, Mr. G. f oiler; club captain's bar. G. 7 oiler; vice-cap-tain’s ’bar, D. Kitchingman.
