POPE MAY LEAVE ROME
Effect On Conduct Of War (Received October 5, 8.10 p.m.) LONDON, October 4. The Pope may move his residence from the Vatican to the country in view of the embarrassment his presence in Rome may cause both sides in the conduct of the war, says the “Daily Express” diplomatic correspondent. If the Pope goes, it is expected he will transfer to his country palace or his villa at Florence.
