DENIAL OF SPLIT IN RANKS

Remuera National Party (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, October 1. "There is no split in the ranks of members of tlie National Party in the Remuera electorate. The branch committee met last week and those who had opposed Mr. Endeau’s candidature at the General Election decided to stand aside and make room for Mr. Endeau’s supporters.” The statement was made today by officials of the National Party in Auckland when commenting on a report in the “Standard” that there was a definite split in the ranks of the National Party in Remuera.

Officials said that members who resigned from the committee remained members of the party and some were still members of the central executive.
