Business was promptly dispatched at the general meeting of the Auckland Employers’ Association. The mayor, Mr. J. A. C. Alluni, president of the association, was in the chair and, with clockwork precision, the report and balance-sheet were adopted and the members of the executive committee elected without a dissentient voice. No other business being raised by anyone, the mayor declared the meeting closed less than 10 ipinutes after it had opened.
