MAY BE INCREASED IN WINTER MONTHS
British Food Rations (British Official Wireless.) (Received September 14, 7 p.m.) RUGBY, September 13. The possibility of the whole nation receiving increased food rations during the winter months was envisaged by the Minister of Food, Lord Woolton, when opening an exhibition of wartime food production. He said that the stocks were better than a year ago, and “I am assured by all competent medical and nutritional experts that we have never, been in better health for years than we are now.” NO STANDARD SUITS (British Official Wireless.) (Received September 14, 7 p.m.) RUGBY, September 13. The range of qualities and prices which have been fixed by orders issued by the Board of Trade regulating cloth and its (manufacture for garments reveals that there is no suggestion that the Government intends to introduce any form of standard clothing in Britain.
