FRENCH LEGION AT THE FRONT
LONDON, September 12. Vichy reports that M. Deat, who like M. Laval, is now out of danger, following the attempted assassinations, broadcast announcing the arrival on the Eastern Front of French volunteers. He added: “It is not necessary for France to stay aloof. She will play an important part in the New Order for which Germany is fighting.”
