12,129 People In Jail (British Official Wireless.) (Received September 12, 5.30 p.m.) RUGBY, September 11. The Secretary of State xor India, Mr. Amery, stated in the House of Commons that on July 1 persons serving sentences in connexion with the civil disobedience movement in India totaleld 12,129, including 28 former Ministers and 290 members of Provincial Legislatures.
