Three Men Sentenced Sentences on three soldiers charged before district courts martial at Trentham this week with desertion were promulgated yesterday. These are as follows: —
Private Carlyle Pardoe, 2nd N.Z.E.F., 50 days’ detention for absence without leave, to which category the charge of desertion was reduced by the court. Private Gordon Smith Wilkinson, 2nd N.Z.E.F., desertion, 90 days’ detention.
Private Ronald Edward Jukes, 2nd N.Z.E.F., desertion, 90 days’ detention.
