SUCCESSFUL MEMBERS
Red Cross Certificates Presented At Ngaio A pleasant ■ gathering was held recently when the Ngaio branch of the New Zealand Red Cross Society met to present certificates to 50 successful members of the home nursing and. first aid classes. Mrs. A. Sceats, president of the branch, was in the chair and welcomed Dr. A. Gillies, Miss Tennent, Mr. and Mrs. Galloway and Miss McFarlane, Canada. Addresses were given by Miss Tennent, director in chief of Voluntary Aids Detachments, and Mr. Galloway. Dr. Gillies, president of the New Zealand Red Cross Society, presented the certificates and spoke of the activities of the nursing profession of England under wartime conditions. Sisters Sceats and McDonald were thanked for their valuable work as instructors of the classes and tokens of appreciation were presented to them. The Ngaio sextet gave musical numbers and supper was served.
