TRENTHAM BAND NIGHT

Proceeds For Men Overseas A bright and breezy programme has been arranged for the Trentham Band’s concert in the Town Hall on September 9. Variety and novelty have been the objective, and it has certainly been achieved. The Trentham Military Band will be supported by such outstanding ertists as Merle Gamble (soprano). Mrs. ■Wilfred Andrews (contralto), Ray Trewern (tenor). Ken Macaulay (baritone), A. L. Elston (humorist), and Clement Howe, (accompanist). The proceeds _of the concert will be devoted to providing additional comforts for the Christmas parcels for the men overseas. The box plan opens today at the D.I.C.
