CAMPAIGNING BY RADIO
Labour Party Branch Suggestion

A recommendation to the Government that to conserve petrol during the election campaign the use of radio for broadcasting all candidates’ speeches be introduced, is to be made by the Marton branch of the New Zealand Labour Party. ’ . The recommendation points out that a great amount of petrol would be saved both by candidates and electors in travelling to meetings and suggests the use of the auxiliary as well as the main stations. It .proposes'that the Ilangitikei electorate could be served through 2ZA, Palmerston North.
