(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 30. Because of heavy rain, the Auckland Trotting Club’s meeting, which was to have been held at Epsom today, has been postponed. It will be held next Saturday,

Trotting Secretary. At a meeting of the committee of the Canterbury Park Trotting Club on Wednesday, Mr. H. E. Goggin was appointed secretary, in place of the late Mr. A. I. Rattray. Mr. Goggin has been reappointed manager of the totalizator, an appointment he took up with the major trotting clubs of Christchurch last season. For several years Mr. Goggin was assistant to Mr. Rattray in his capacity as secretary to various clubs.

Reminder. Nominations for the annual race meeting of the Carterton Racing Club, to be held on Saturday, September 13, will close on Wednesday at 9 p.m.
