SUPPER PARTY
For W.W.S.A. Girl Going To Middle East A supper party was given at the Girls’ Friendly Society Hostel, Wellington, last week, to Miss Gladys Clark, W.W.S.A., who is one of the 30 girls chosen for service with the New Zealand Forces in the Middle East. There was a large gathering in the hostel lounge, including some “old girls” and friends. Songs by Miss F. Cording, piano solos by Miss Edith Whitfield, and a recitation by Miss Gwen Dallaston were enjoyed.
After supper Miss Gleeson, lady superintendent, in presenting a leather writing compendium to Miss Clark, said how greatly she would be missed from the social activities of the hostel. The singing of “She’s a Jolly Good Fellow" brought the evening to a close.
